Illegal hoardings cleared from newly added areas

Gurgaon: The civic body has launched a drive to remove illegal hoardings from the newly added areas. The advertising department on Friday removed illegal unipole hoardings from the areas near Dwarka Expressway and Basai flyover, which have recently been merged with the corporation.

An MCG official said it is mandatory to take permission from the corporation to install hoardings and boards in these areas. The civic body will impose a penalty on the advertisers who install hoardings without permission in these areas.

“Advertisers will have to pay the fee for advertising rights,” said Hariom Attri, joint commissioner, MCG.
