GURUGRAM: Residents of Breez Global Heights in Sohna’s Sector 33 have complaine d about poor upkeep of the society and shoddy constructio n by the developer apart from high maintenance fees of the society.
The charges were denied by the builder. They said it has only been a few years, but plasters started to peel off and cracks are visible on pillars. The sewage treatment plant (STP) is poorly maintained, there is a lack of security guards, and CCTV cameras and fire alarm system are non-functional, they alleged. “I moved here in 2021 and since then STP is not functional. Moreover, untreated waste water is being used for horticulture, resulting in foul smell. Whenever we take up the matter with the developer, they threaten us,” said Satpal Punia, a resident.
“We have been paying Rs. 2.57 per sq.ft for maintenance. When we complain, we are told that there are less resources and that we should manage for some time. The lifts here require frequent repairs and there is no proper management of electricity and drinking water. The structure of the building is also poorly developed,” said Ramkesh Nawada, another resident. The builder refuted the allegation and said the concerns are being addressed in a time bound manner. “A reputed facility management is maintaining the society and the STP is fully functional while all the government norms are being complied with. We have been asking people to take the responsibility but they never come forward. We are not ignoring their grievances and redressing them with best of our ability,” said Rajeev Jain, director, Breez Builders and Developers Private Limited.
