News: Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar inaugurates all weather swimming pool, boys sports hostel & civil complex building in Ambala-04-06-2022

AMBALA: Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar today inaugurated all weather swimming pool, air-conditioned boys sports hostel and sub-divisional officer (SDO) civil complex in Ambala Cantonment on Saturday.
The swimming pool has been developed at a cost of about Rs 38.69 crore, SDO civil complex building at Rs 41.52 crore and sports hostel at Rs 12.96 crore.
CM Khattar thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving opportunity to Haryana to host Khelo India 2021 Games.

He said most of the sports events will be held in Panchkula but the games related to swimming and gymnastics will be held in Ambala Cantonment besides some competitions in Shahabad (Kurukshetra), Chandigarh and Delhi.

"Ambala was known by the name of science city and for its mixer industry but now with the development of national and international level sports stadium, it will attain new identity in the field of sports", said CM Khattar.

Ambala MP Rattan Lal Kataria, Ambala DC Vikram Singh, SP Jashandeep Singh Randhawa and other key officials were present on this occasion.
